Tropic Madagascar committed to making a difference | Ciel Textile Website
Tropic Madagascar carried out a series of social activities these past weeks…bringing warmth, comfort, and cheer to those in need.
Tropic Madagascar, providing for others
Picture this: On 19 August every year, it’s the World Humanitarian Day. This year, Tropic Madagascar seized this occasion to organize an Act for our Community initiative. 20 care packs containing rice, sugar, oil and soap were distributed to 156 beneficiaries of the CFM (Centre Felana Maitso), a shelter for children in need.
Empower hour for primary school students of Madagascar
Hold on! There’s more: At the Andraharo Public Primary School, in July, 36 students received a school kit as a gift for nailing the Certificat d'Étude Primaire Élémentaire. And guess what? 16 of these bright students with the highest marks scored an extra treat – nice sweatpants and sweatshirts to layer up in style.
Warmer vibes for Tropic team members and ill children
Nights can get chilly in Madagascar, and Tropic wasn’t about to let anyone shiver! On the occasion of the country’s 63rd Independence anniversary in June, Tropic Madagascar distributed 1,138 cozy blankets to its team members.
Interesting fact: these blankets were manufactured by using 140,000 kg of fabric waste. Circularity at its finest!
In July, 55 blankets were donated to the children’s hospital, in Tsaralalàna. This thoughtful act shows Tropic’s commitment to improving the hospital’s setup and making the kids’ stay there cozier.
“At Tropic Madagascar, we are all about sparking change for all our stakeholders. From a greener planet to thriving communities, we’re rolling up our sleeves and shaking things up for the better. It’s not only about the bottom line – we’re about making a difference. Our aim is to go beyond and do whatever it takes to create a world we can all feel proud of,” says Rado Tokiniaina Rasoloarimanana, HR Manager.
