Vonona Project - Upcycled Hygiene Kits Empowers Girls To Stay In School
12-11-2021

In Madagascar, access to affordable menstrual products remains a challenge. This can force girls to miss up to 20% of their education. But here's where our TROPIC teams come in!

The VONONA PROJECT is a powerful initiative for Malagasy women to address this issue head-on. By distributing reusable menstrual products, the VONONA Project is empowering girls to stay in school and reach their full potential.

What is it all about?

Together with Axian Foundation, the team designed hygienic menstrual kits which are:

100% Cotton
Ultra-Absorbent
Soft & Comfortable
Easy to wash & Reusable
Environmental Friendly

As such, 6000 cloth pads were produced and distributed to 800 young adolescents in Antananarivo in July 2021.

Let’s walk towards a better tomorrow.

Stay tuned to know our next step.
