On April 26, 2025, CIEL Textile proudly hosted the very first edition of the Chairman’s Capital-Intensive Excellence Awards (CIEA).
The event took place at the Sugar Beach Hotel in Mauritius to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our capital-intensive textile teams: CDL, FSM, and Cotona, with a very special guest of honor: Hon. Sayed Muhammad Aadil Ameer Meea, Minister of Industry, SME, and Cooperatives of Mauritius.
Celebrating team spirit, innovation & excellence
Energy, laughter, and team spirit lit up the evening as we came together to celebrate our people. As Veronique Auger, CEO of Cotona, shared in her powerful speech: “It’s not about producing more, it’s about producing smarter.”
That single line captured the essence of what the CIEA is all about: not just achieving goals, but transforming the way we work through innovation, efficiency, and collaboration.

A total of 13 prestigious awards were handed out — cheering on both individual brilliance and collective success. Eleven colleagues proudly took home the Best Manufacturing Grassroots Award, and three supervisors shined with the Best-in-class Supervisor Award.
