We couldn’t miss it, so we didn’t! CIEL Textile proudly took part in Bharat Tex 2025, India’s biggest textile trade fair which welcomed over 10,000 visitors. 

We seized the opportunity of this event, held from 14 to 17 February in New Delhi, to connect with people from all over the textile value chain… And share valuable insights. 

Leading the conversation on the future of textiles 

Our team didn’t just attend – we contributed. CIEL Textile leaders joined four major panel discussions, sharing ideas on how to build a stronger, and more eco-conscious textile future.  

At a high-level roundtable, our CEO Eric Dorchies - alongside industry leaders and India’s Honorable Minister of Textiles, Shri Giriraj Singh - tackled an important question: “How can India be a stable partner in an uncertain world?”.  His answer? Innovation and supply chain resilience are key to India’s growing role in global textile exports.

In another session “Mega Trends Impacting the Global Textile Industry”, Rajesh Kumar, CEO of Laguna India (a CIEL Textile company), spoke about the big trends shaping our industry. He highlighted the power of collaboration and the need for: 

• More renewable energy use,  

• Better water savings,  

• Smarter fabric choices, and  

• Stronger support for farmers! 

Supporting India’s 5F vision 

The theme of the event “Farm to Fiber to Fabric to Fashion to Foreign”, matched our values perfectly. It brought together global buyers, partners, and textile experts from all corners of the industry to explore how India can lead the way in sustainable textile development. 

On top of contributing to four different panel discussions, our leadership team also had meaningful discussions with India’s Ministry of Textiles, exploring opportunities to strengthen India’s textile sector through integrated parks, innovation, and progressive policy frameworks. 

A platform for progress 

More than a trade fair, Bharat Tex 2025 sparked new ideas, opened dialogue, fostered collaboration, powered a forward-thinking approach, and inspired action… We’re proud to have been part of it, as we continue shaping a more resilient, sustainable and connected future for the textile industry.
