It all starts with People 

Before fashion comes fabric. And before fabric, it’s people. 
At CIEL Textile, we believe great fashion begins with great people – and it’s our job in HR to empower them every step of the way. I’ve been lucky to be part of this transformation. Here’s a peek into my journey and how we’re reshaping human resources to be more digital, more human, and more impactful. 

Leading mission Digital HR  

When I joined CIEL Textile in September 2022, I didn’t expect my role to grow the way it did. What drew me in were the company’s values — Excellence at Core, Winning Well, and a real culture of valuing people. It felt like home from day one. 
I started as an HR digital coordinator, looking at live modules. Fast forward a few months – and I was leading the rollout of our new HR management system across Mauritius, Madagascar, Bangladesh, and India.  

Managing digital change across borders 

Rolling out a tech system across four countries? Yes, you guessed it right - it’s not that simple.  
Each country has its own way of doing things. Different cultures, different people practices, and operational complexities. It wasn’t only just about the tech. It was about connecting the dots between systems and people. That meant learning quickly, adapting constantly, staying curious and leading with empathy and intention. 

Where technology meets purpose 

This is where I found my purpose. 
I became the bridge between internal teams and our tech partners; I had to dive deep into the “why” and “how” of our HR processes. I had to ask hard questions, learn fast, and keep the human side of HR front and center. It wasn’t always easy - there were moments of uncertainty, setbacks, and a steep learning curve. But here’s the thing: I leaned on adaptability, resilience, and the belief that real transformation is never without challenges. 

Great mentors make all the difference 

This journey would’ve been impossible without some amazing people by my side. A big shoutout to my leader, Dev, whose trust and support turned every challenge into a learning opportunity. And to my previous line manager, for always pushing me to see my potential even when I struggled to see it myself. Their trust in me made all the difference. 

Why I show up every day 

What keeps me going? Simple: knowing that our work is making life better for our people.  
Knowing that what we build is helping our people – making HR easier, faster, and more human. Every small improvement touches someone’s daily work life. That’s what drives me every day. 

Looking ahead: HR with heart 

I’ve got a background in Psychology, and I would want to bring more of that into my work - finding new ways to support growth, wellbeing, and purpose at work. HR isn’t just about processes – it’s about wellbeing, growth, and purpose. I want to keep exploring how digital tools can support all three. 

Still learning. Still growing. Still grateful. 

The journey is far from over. 
We’re building the future of HR – a better HR experience at CIEL Textile; one thoughtful, people-first step at a time. I’m proud to be part of it. And excited for what’s next.
