The CIEL Textile Madagascar Graduate Program: Empowering future leaders | Ciel Textile Website
At CIEL Textile, we’re all about helping young talent shape the future of the apparel industry. Our Madagascar Graduate Program (“MGP”) is an in-house designed program to bridge the gap between raw talent and leadership opportunities, giving graduates the skills and experience they need to succeed in the textile world.
Why choose the CIEL Textile Madagascar Graduate Program (“MGP”)?
Madagascar has a lot of talent, but not enough exposure to textile & apparel knowledge. Our MGP addresses that by offering hands-on experience in our global operations; as well as training and mentoring in management and leadership. Graduates get to understand our operations and culture while learning from top industry leaders.
Program highlights
Comprehensive training: Graduates gain practical experience in textile management, preparing them to become future leaders at CIEL Textile. Top class training is delivered by partner specialist academic institutions and by the in-house Academy of CIEL Textile.
Global exposure: Participants interact with our business units across multiple countries, getting a real feel for the global textile industry.
Mentorship: Graduates receive insights and guidance from experienced industry leaders, fast-tracking their career growth.
Success stories
Ever since the idea came up in 2019, the MGP’s evolved a lot! From our first trustworthy partner, the Ecole Supérieure du Commerce des Affaires et du Management, to new allies such as the Mauritian Academy of Design and Innovation (ADI), and the renowned NIFT School of Textile, our partnerships help our participants to expand their skillset.
Continuous improvement
Before welcoming our second batch of graduates, we took feedback from the first batch and made some upgrades. Upgraded equipment, and a shorter program duration - we’re committed to improving the experience for our young talents.
Fast forward to 2024, we onboarded 19 new students for the 2nd batch of the MGP. Throughout the year, they went through a learning program with the renowned ADI Mauritius and celebrated their graduation with the CIEL and CIEL Textile family.
Our commitment
We’re invested in the future of the clothing industry, and that means investing in young talent. The Madagascar Graduate Program is our commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders who will drive innovation and excellence in the textile sector.
Nandish Torul, the core artisan behind this ambitious project, shares the next steps: “As we embark on the third phase, MGP3, all three clusters firmly believe this initiative is essential for fostering sustainable growth and building future leaders who will step into key roles. This collective endeavor among our management, academic partners, and the HODs illustrates our commitment to shaping a resilient and impactful leadership pipeline in Madagascar. It is a program of which I like to call it, our Signature Endeavor of which we will keep improving on and ensuring it is alive”.
